How Has FARSB Helped You?
Alex Lucero, REAL Journey Academies Employee
The 1800 food boxes and additional items that REAL Journey Academies received from FARSB could not have come at a better time. It means the world to our San Bernardino and Moreno Valley families, over 95% qualify for the free meal program, and many who struggle to provide regular meals.

I am homebound with multiple sclerosis and cannot leave my house due to this autoimmune disease and seizures. FARSB has made a huge impact on my life. I emailed them to receive food and the very next day, food was delivered. I am completely grateful for all the volunteers, donors, and others who make this such a wonderful experience.

I almost cried when I saw the food... it was almost like Christmas. My kids ran down the stairs and noticed the box. I let them open it and they wondered "Who brought us this food?" I told them "A FARSB field volunteer, someone you will put in your prayers today."

I believe in giving back and I choose FARSB because there are people in our community who need us & I know with confidence that 98% of my donation goes back into the community.
I drove past our local mall, I saw cars lined up on the freeway, down the street, and through the mall, even more so than during the holiday seasons, but this time it wasn't for Christmas shopping. Cars were lined up looking for food to support their families in this crisis. I was so proud to see the FARSB trucks and all the volunteers helping our communities.
We don't have much to give, but we know how lucky we are to have enough.

When I think of what FARSB is doing, I recall a saying I heard years ago that went something like, "One definition of the greatness of society is how it takes care of its vulnerable." FARSB's efforts is certainly doing its part in helping to care for the vulnerable in our society and improving the lives of many.
