Changes to Our Volunteer Program
In response to the evolving coronavirus pandemic and our need to keep staff, partners, and community members safe, we have suspended all on-site warehouse volunteer opportunities. Current volunteer opportunities include Field Distribution Deliveries and Food Distribution Event Volunteers.
Field Distribution Volunteer Program:
With many seniors fearing the results of leaving their home, and our responsibility to keep them safe, we have implemented a Field Distribution program. Field volunteers sign up for the residents they are willing and able to deliver food to. Volunteers then pick up the items from our warehouse and leave them at the door-step of the person(s) in need. Volunteers may also be delivering items to disabled, pregnant, and homebound residents in need.
VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, BE OVER THE AGE OF 18, NOT BE SHOWING ANY SYMPTOMS OF ILLNESS, AND COMPLETE THE VOLUNTEER WAIVER UPON PICK UP OF THEIR FIRST DELIVERY.

Food Distribution Event Volunteer
Our foodbank has been conducting pop-up drive-thru food distributions throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to ensure that people in various communities can benefit from our free food programs.

We are currently working on building a t-shirt display wall to highlight our awesome volunteer teams in our new volunteer welcome center. Leave it with your volunteer coordinator upon arrival, and we'll take care of the rest!
Are you interested in creating a team building day for your group? Consider hosting your event at the FARSB Distribution Center and we'll plan a day of service to meet your team goals!
VOLUNTEER LEAD PROGRAM
For a small $10 donation, you could have your very own FARSB shirt! Ask the FARSB staff during your volunteer shift or contact the FARSB Development Coordinator at (951) 359-4757.
All shirt sales go directly towards supporting our mission to alleviate hunger in the Inland Empire!
Our Volunteer Leads play an integral role in fulfilling our mission. Not only do they aid new volunteers in the warehouse, but they go through extensive health and safety training and get first dibs on special volunteer activities, including Kids Markets, Food Distributions, and our Annual Gala!
