Our Commitment

Your right to privacy is very important to us. We recognize you have entrusted Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB; food bank) with sensitive information. Therefore, our privacy policy has been adopted to protect your personal information. The privacy policy describes the kind of information we collect, how that information is used, and what kind of security measures are in place to protect your privacy. Rest assured we will not sell or rent the information you provide in any fashion that has not been expressed in our policy.

Information Collection and Use

There is no obligation at any point to share personal information while browsing the FARSB website (feedingie.org). Although, in order to participate as a donor, volunteer, attendee, agency, newsletter subscriber, or survey participant you will have to provide required fields of information.

Volunteers: Information will be collected in various fields during the reservation and application process in electronic form. As a registered volunteer you will be contacted for other volunteer opportunities and as a recipient of the FARSB KNOW Hunger newsletters either mailed or emailed. The food bank does not intend to collect information from minors for communication or donor purposes. It is the parents’ responsibility to include their full name and signature on all volunteer application forms for minors or donations made on behalf of a minor. This helps to ensure information is only captured and maintained for the parent, guardian, or chaperone.

Donors: Information donors provide include but is not limited to: full name, address, email address, electronic signature, and credit card information. We utilize a secure third party service to collect and process donations. As a donor you will receive updates, newsletters, and support campaigns periodically throughout the year.

Newsletter: Participants who sign-up for the FARSB newsletter have willingly subscribed to receive the FARSB newsletter in an electronic form quarterly by providing their email.

Surveys and Sign-ups: We encourage members of the community who support the food bank as a donor, volunteer, newsletter subscriber, attendee, agency, program recipient or other to participate in occasional surveys. The information provided is solely used to improve the quality of services and programs at FARSB.

Agencies: Partner members of the food bank will have access to specific Agency ONLY portals on the website. The information is maintained and store.

Information Sharing

FARSB will not sell or rent your information other than if compelled by legal action whether collected online or offline. Although unlikely, the Food Bank may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide personal information about our users. We will provide this information, to the extent technically possible, upon request and receipt of the appropriate documentation. Disclosure may also occur if we consider it necessary to protect our legal rights, or if the information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct.

Changes to your information or Preferences

At any point in time you are welcomed to update or change your subscription preference including the possibility of unsubscribing to further contact. Your information is stored in databases accessible by only qualified staff. To make changes to your information you may contact Carolyn Solar at csolar@feedingamericaie.org. Please include Update Information and Preferences in your subject line.

Cookies and Computer Information

We collect the following information about your computer configuration: browser type, operating system, IP address, and the URL of the webpage you were on just prior to visiting the Food Bank’s website. This includes clicking links, ads, or other external communications on behalf of FARSB. We use this information to analyze usage trends, administer the site, and track our users’ movements across our site for aggregate use. This information will not reveal, nor is it associated with your personal identity.

Notification of Changes

If a change to the Privacy Policy is made, an updated policy will be posted to the website with access to a PDF document of the most recently changed form. We intend to be transparent and communicative with alterations made. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner incompatible with the stated purposes at the time it was collected, we will post a prominent notification of the change in policy on our website.

Security

Only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by donors, volunteers, agencies etc. FARSB uses responsible organizational, technical and administrative measures to protect personal information. Although the food bank operates on secure networks, no internet transmission can be guaranteed 100% secure. While we take the utmost precaution to protect your data, you use this site and its services at your own risk.
