Nathan Westwick grew up in the Inland Empire, graduating from Yucaipa High School in 1992. After obtaining his degree in mathematics at UCSD, he returned home to teach high school at his alma mater.

 

His love of teaching competed with his love for innovative business, and he launched Wild Goose Coffee Roasters in September of 2008 in Redlands, CA.

 

From its onset, the mission of Wild Goose Coffee Roasters was to use coffee as a vehicle for giving back—both at the farm level through its fair-trade purchasing practices, as well as in the local community, where Wild Goose donates 10 lbs of food to local food banks for every pound of coffee sold.

To date, coffee lovers drinking Wild Goose Coffee have participated in giving back over 2.3 million pounds of food to their local communities—directly helping Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino and their more than 250 charity partners.

 

Wild Goose Coffee Roasters has been featured on local NPR radio, in the Riverside Press-Enterprise and Redlands Daily Facts, as well as national publications Barista Magazine and Fresh Cup Magazine.
