Summer vacation. For many children in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, these are two of the sweetest words in their vocabulary. It signifies worry-free days for several sunny months, but this summer is different.

 

This summer, many families are just now re-entering the work force and are recovering from home instabilities and illness, leaving children with lack of access to basic needs, including food.
