SUMMER HUNGER
FIGHT
For many children in the Inland Empire, summer brings more than a break from school. It brings a disruption in access to consistent, reliable meals.
During the school year, breakfast and lunch programs help ensure kids have the nutrition they need to focus, learn, and grow. But when those meals pause, families are often left to fill the gap on their own.
That’s where FARSB and partners in the Feeding America network step in.

Throughout the summer, meals and groceries are distributed in places where children and families already gather, including parks, libraries, and local community programs. By meeting people where they are, these efforts help reduce barriers and ensure that healthy food remains within reach.
This support is about more than food for today. It helps children maintain energy, confidence, and momentum, so they can continue learning, stay engaged, and return to school ready to thrive.
Together, our community can help nourish what’s next.
What Can You Do?
Currently, there are over 530,000 people who are food insecure within the Inland Empire and half of those are children.Your donation would provide meals for our neighbors in need and move us closer to our vision of a hunger-free IE!
