That's a Wrap on Can Tree Wonderland

FARSB's 5th annual Can Tree Wonderland: NY Rockin' Christmas Edition was a hit! This event took place on Saturday, December 13th, at the food bank warehouse and brought food, funds, and holiday spirit to the IE.

Our food bank's holiday food drive and community fair event featured nearly 30 can tree displays from local businesses, organizations, and community groups, and brought in over $66,000 to fund hunger-relief efforts.

Can Tree Wonderland: NY Rockin' Christmas Edition

New York is quintessential Christmas with the Rockefeller tree, classic skyline, and horse-drawn carriage rides through Central Park, and we wanted to replicate that magic with our own 25-foot tree of lights, Coney Island mini fair games, and a petting zoo with miniature horses!

We want to give a special thanks to our vendors who either partially or fully donated their time and services to be at the event: Dutch Bros., Orangewood Farms, Mamma Mia in Riverside, PBG Photobooth, Soundhouse Productions, and SOFF Security.

Winner's Circle

The competition really heated up this year, with many incredible displays, but three top choices made the winner's circle as our top ranking. Third place went to U.R. Wonderful for their "Golden Nutcracker," second was Express Workforce Foundation's "Wizard of Oz," and first place went to DCH Subaru of Riverside with "LA Dodgers Stadium."

With all cans counted, all sponsors and participants together brought over 8,000 pounds of food that stays at the food bank and is given to neighbors in need. Whether the food was purchased or collected through a food drive, every can counts. A big thanks to all who attended and participated; it made the event a huge success.

Wrap-Up

This was our final event of 2025, and as we close on our 45th year in operations, we extend our gratitude to all who support our mission throughout the year. As we close our 45th year, we renew our focus on advocating for better support for our community and thank all who helped us feed the IE.
