Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is looking for passionate, dedicated professionals committed to making a difference in our community. We invite prospective board members from the Inland Empire to join us in our mission to combat hunger. Our ideal candidate is a true trailblazer equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute to our cause effectively. We recognize the numerous systemic barriers our residents face, such as racism, sexism, and cissexism, which impact crucial aspects of their lives, including education, employment, housing, and healthcare. We seek candidates who possess a deep understanding of these challenges and are driven to address them head-on.
At FARSB, we firmly believe in the power of lived experience. That's why we value individuals who have personally faced the harsh realities of food insecurity and the systemic barriers perpetuating it. Those who have experienced hunger firsthand hold a unique perspective and possess the ability to drive the transformative changes we seek.
To ensure diverse representation and foster inclusive decision-making, we particularly encourage individuals who are members of equity constituencies to apply. This includes tribal communities, communities of color, immigrant and refugee communities, transgender and gender nonconforming communities, single women, single mothers, and caregivers. Your unique perspective and firsthand knowledge will contribute immensely to our mission.
In addition to your personal experience, we seek candidates with expertise in various fields. We would love to hear from you if you have a background in human resources, marketing, public relations, grocery/consumer goods, community outreach, advocacy and public policy, law, media/entertainment, or supply chain management. Your skills will help us advance our initiatives and make a lasting impact on our community.
