Truck Driver Appreciation Week took place from September 14th to the 20th, and with our food bank relying heavily on our dedicated drivers to safely deliver food assistance to thousands of households across the region, we wouldn't be able to feed the IE without them. From picking up donated products to delivering emergency food and water supplies, our drivers do it all.

FARSB wanted to honor our hardworking drivers who dedicate their workdays to helping neighbors in need by solidifying a special place for them here at our food bank. So, each one of our FARSB truck drivers was gifted a safety vest with their name embroidered on the chest in appreciation of their long days and positive attitudes.

Your Local Food Bank Truck Drivers

This year, in honor of Truck Driver Appreciation, we opted to gift a special token of FARSB's gratitude to our semi-truck drivers who haul loads of food all over the IE to feed neighbors in need. These vests serve not only for safety but also to show our partners and all others with whom they come in contact that they are part of an elite team.

FARSB truck drivers are all CDL-certified, and in fiscal year 2024-2025, they've helped move over 36 million pounds of food across the IE, delivered over 37,000 pounds of disaster relief items to the Santa Rose Indian Health Clinic for Rose Fire evacuees, and helped deliver hope to those struggling with food insecurity. Amazing work!

Meet the FARSB Drivers

ree

Meet Pedro, who has been helping alleviate hunger in the Inland Empire for over 22 years! His favorite part about working at FARSB is the appreciation he receives from the community. Whether it’s a community member noticing the logo on his truck or a neighbor thanking him at a distribution, he’s constantly reminded of the impact of his work.

Meet Jose, a familiar face at FARSB, who will celebrate 11 years with our organization this October. He loves the kindness and appreciation he receives when delivering to homebound neighbors, and knowing that he’s making a difference is the most rewarding part of his work at FARSB.

Say hello to Alfredo, one of our four drivers who keeps food moving in and out of the warehouse. For Alfredo, the best part of working at FARSB is the gratitude he receives from clients and community partners. He appreciates that people often take a moment to thank him when they see the Feeding America logo or during deliveries.

Say hello to Jorge, one of our four drivers who keeps food moving in and out of the warehouse. This year, he is celebrating 12 years with FARSB! For Jorge, the most meaningful part of working at FARSB is delivering food directly to the people who need it most. That personal connection makes his work especially fulfilling.

If you see these drivers around the IE, feel free to say hello and let them know you appreciate what they do for their community!

Thank you, FARSB Drivers!

On behalf of all the staff at our food bank, we want to say thank you for all the work you do to help our warehouse run smoothly and for keeping our inventory and partner pantries full!
